On behalf of a global Medtech manufacturing company, we realized an injection molding automation in a clean room for the Shenzhen, China location. Our software engineer Roman Müller was on-site as project manager and accompanied the successful commissioning.
Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturing companies for electronics and medtech components. The company produces injection-molded parts for medical applications, among other things, at its location in Shenzhen, China. For cleanroom injection molding production, we developed an automation solution, which we completed and tested in Switzerland.
Two weeks on site
Our software engineer Roman Müller accompanied the relocation of the system to its final location in Shenzhen, China. He spent about two weeks on site, taking care of the setup and commissioning with the local team – including regular training in eating with chopsticks. ;-)
Thousands of parts per day
The injection molding machine operates in a 3-shift system in a class 8 cleanroom. Parts are removed from the injection molding machine tool at short intervals and handed over to our automation. The robot then stacks the parts into stacks of 24 and pallets them into special transport carts. This way, several thousand parts are produced per day.
Successful SAT
Thanks to optimal preparation and smooth teamwork on site, everything worked perfectly. A successful SAT (Site Acceptance Test) was the crowning achievement of the project and has now ushered in the start of production.
