The Key to Success – You Can Take That Literally Here
The key manufacturer Halter Frutigen AG approached us to jointly realize an individual robotic automation solution.
The goal was to minimize the downtime of the milling machine with a new system, increase the ergonomics and safety of the system, and optimize handling and efficiency.
We achieved these goals in the production of coded keys on the CNC milling machine with an industrial robot, 2 rotary tables, a double gripper with blow-off function and positioning aid. Through custom-made parts, such as the robot gripper, we were able to make the robot's movements faster and smoother to achieve the desired changeover time.
The order command in this system is adapted to the respective need through the customer's MES system. This order is forwarded to the CNC milling machine and then to the robot. The key orientation and type selection are realized through the solution from Robotec Solutions.
When the system is equipped, autonomy of one day is achieved, and our customer can manufacture thousands of keys within 24 hours.
