New to the team: Jonas Pechlaner, Software Engineer

How was your start with us? 

I am thrilled with how many projects and technologies I have already gained insights into, including 3D vision solutions. It is particularly exciting that I have already been able to work on some real projects – a great new experience after my training period. Additionally, I have been very well received.

What did you do before? 

Before Robotec, I initially worked in IT as a full-stack developer for business software. Then I decided to study systems engineering because I was attracted to the industrial environment. After this study, I was initially employed at FHNW, where I was able to pursue a project and further develop my own tool. Then I looked for a suitable position. 

How did you come across Robotec? 

If you are looking for a company in the automation and robotics field that is innovative and makes individual solutions, you cannot avoid Robotec. In that sense, I already knew the company beforehand. I then came across the job offer as a software engineer on the Robotec website.

What are you particularly looking forward to? 

On the one hand, I am very much looking forward to applying the theoretical knowledge from my studies in practice. On the other hand, I am excited to gain further practical experience and become more routine and productive, for example in PLC programming. Additionally, it motivates me to see that my own work is really used in concrete customer projects. 

Finally: What do you do in your free time? 

I am active in the scouts and generally enjoy being outdoors. I often go hiking and recently started paragliding. I just completed my first longer flight.
